Veldeman serves up all weather tennis

The Tennis Club De Wehzel in Mechelen, Belgium has benefited from the installation of a new tennis hall supplied by Veldeman, rendering weather-interrupted games a thing of the past.

Built in the space of only two weeks, the 36m x 35m Polygon structure has a roof and upper walls made of a translucent PVC-coated fabric, which provides glare-free light and increased playing comfort.

In summer the side panels - made of high quality green PVC-coated fabric - can be removed along the entire length of the hall to create a feeling of playing outdoors. A further advantage of this is that spectators on the club's terrace can follow the game.

Although supplied to the Tennis Club De Wehzel for a tennis application, the Polygon is ideal for covering volleyball, basketball and even swimming pools.

It is of a self-supporting anodised aluminium construction that rests on galvanised steel base-plates, with standard anchoring realised using chemical anchors and stability by utilising wind bracing.
